Bozeman Summit School utilizes the services of School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) as an intermediary processor for Financial Aid offered by the school. Please follow the Financial Aid Timeline to avoid delays.
Bozeman Summit School is school partner with ACE Scholarships. Please visit www.acescholarships.org/about for more information about this organization.
If you are interested in applying for financial aid and/or an ACE Scholarship, please contact the Office for an information packet, (406) 585-3778 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The following procedure will be used by the Financial Aid Committee:
Step 1. Parents submit Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS), a copy of their most recent income tax return (including all filed schedules and attachments and W-2’s) and, if the family owns a business or farm, a Business/Farm Statement to School and Student Service for Financial Aid, along with the required fee, by February 28 of the spring prior to the school year for which the financial aid is being requested. (If the application is completed on line, the fee is reduced and BSS receives your information faster.) The school code for BSS is 4109.
Step 2. Parents submit a letter of explanation outlining financial emergencies or special financial situations if this information would be helpful to the Financial Aid Committee.
All information will be treated as confidential and shared only with the Financial Aid Committee as they consider each request.
Step 3. The Financial Aid Committee will meet March 31 (or as soon as SSS returns the Report of Family Contribution to BSS) to decide the financial aid to be granted.
If aid is awarded, it is based on the School’s financial aid funds available at the time.
Applications received after this meeting will be processed as received, however, a child may not start Fall classes until the application is processed and the family has been notified by the school Office.
Request for aid for past due accounts will not be considered. If an account is not current, immediate arrangements should be made with the school Office to clear the account before requesting aid.
Step 4. Financial Aid Eligibility Letters will be mailed to each financial aid applicant by April 1 outlining any Financial Aid granted. The contract should be signed and returned to the school with the balance due for the April Tuition Deposit before aid can be applied and the child permitted to start classes for the School Year.
