Sarah Orr

Head of School

  Sarah Orr joined Bozeman Summit School as the Head of School, starting July 2015. She earned her B.A. from Eastern Washington University in 1998 and earned a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Montana State University in 2014. Sarah is working on a doctoral degree in Administrative Leadership.

Sarah had the opportunity to work alongside the former Superintendent at Anderson School, as an administrative intern for the complete 2013-2014 academic year. In addition to her studies, Sarah served as a University Supervisor for beginning teacher candidates in assisting them in their professional growth and instructional practices in the classroom. Prior to her time at MSU, Sarah was a first grade teacher in Los Angeles at Edison Elementary; she also has experience teaching in grades K, 2, 4 and 5.

Dottie Knecht

Business Manager

Dottie Knecht Dottie joined Bozeman Summit School in January of 2014. Her company, Dottie’s Bookkeeping Service, was started in 2007 when she and her family moved from Pennsylvania to Montana so that she could raise her young daughter, Shelby, in a slower pace with a better quality of life that is enjoyed here.  Dottie, formally the controller for a large corporation in Pennsylvania for 13 years, brings not only bookkeeping skills but also office management and business consulting to the team at Bozeman Summit School. Dottie’s credentials are focused on Conflict Resolution, Business Accounting and Human Resources.
