We hope you’re all enjoying the start of your long weekend! We just a have a few reminders to send your way:

Read-a-Thon – if you have not already, please return your read-a-thon packets! If the kids make it to $5,000 they earn a fun party later this month. We are currently at $3,338.55 – we still have quite a way to go! However, we have only received packets back from 20 out of more than 60 students! We have had some amazing readers! Even if your donations were made online, please send your packets back so we know who to give credit for what contributions. Each child that participates can pick a book to keep from our book bin in the front office.

Fall Festival – The Fall Festival is NEXT Friday, October 25^th. This is our second year doing this event and it is shaping up to be a fun night! We are looking for a couple of volunteers who might want to help at some of the stations we’ll have set up, so if you’d like to be involved in set up or running a station, please let us know. For the most part, this is a self-lead event and families can hop from station to station at their own pace. We really encourage you all to come! If you plan to be there, please let Nadine in the front office know so we can be sure to have enough supplies for everyone!

Historical Halloween – We are going to be putting a sign up sheet on the front door for the Historical Halloween potluck. Please be sure to write down what you’d like to bring!

Picture Retakes – Picture retakes will take place on November 6^th. If you would like to have a second shot at a photo for your child, please send back the ENTIRE photo packet you received and Bruce Pitcher will be re-take the photo and get your replacement photos.

We hope you all had such a great time reading with your kiddos! We are officially done with the reading portion of the read-a-thon and it is now time to start collecting your pledges! You can do this online via the facebook donation tool on our website, or you can include cash and checks in the envelopes provided.

Please return these envelopes to the school by Monday September 14^th so we can see how successful this event was! Also, if you received donations online, please be sure to log those donations on your read-a-thon sheets.

If you didn’t get a lot of sponsors before the reading began, there’s always time to brag to your family and friends about all of the reading you have done for additional sponsors.
